THE CAJASIETE GRAN CANARIA MARATHON 2018 EXTENDS ITS REGISTRATION DEADLINE TILL SUNDAY

The organization presents its t-shirt and medal for finishers

The Cajasiete Gran Canaria Marathon team has decided to extend the registration deadline by almost 48 hours. The deadline now ends this Sunday, January the 14th, at 2:00 p.m. Initially, the deadline closed this Friday at 20:00, however the deadline was put back after discovering that many people still wish to take part.

The Organization pointed out that, logistically, they can still have people sign up to any of the three races, ie, the 10KM, the Half Marathon and Marathon.

The Cajasiete Gran Canaria Marathon has also presented the t-shirt that will be given to the thousands of runners who will take part in the three distances. It is a Mizuno technical running t-shirt which will have the race distance embossed on the right side of the chest.

The Cajasiete Gran Canaria Marathon already has, in addition, the medals that will be handed out to all those who take part in the race. The prizes are also differentiated by distance.

The Councillor for Sports of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Ángel Víctor Torres and the manager of the temporary business association (TBA) that organizes the Cajasiete Gran Canaria Marathon, Francisco Armas, encouraged all citizens to join the Island´s great athletics festival, either as runners or cheering on the thousands of athletes who will run this new edition´s single lap from the streets of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

PROMOTIONAL POSTERS

In this edition of the Cajasiete Gran Canaria Marathon, the Organization and the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria have agreed on the placement of the event´s promotional posters throughout the city in the so-called mupis (acronym for ‘urban element for the presentation of information’).

The aim is to encourage people to take part and spread the Great Marathon´s  festive and athletic spirit among the city´s population.

Some of these promotional posters can be found in the city´s main streets, such as in León and Castillo, Juan Manuel Durán, Tomás Morales, Rafael Cabrera or the Avenida Marítima.

With just a few days left for the great event, the organization continues to work hard so that, on the weekend of the 19th to the 21st of January, everyone can enjoy a great atmosphere at the Marathon.
